WEDNESDAY ADAMS 21ST - STYLED SHOOT // 28.02.2023

Updated: Jun 7, 2023

"Want to take a stab at being social?" "I do like stabbing" - Wednesday

If Wednesday Adams turned twenty one. This was such a lovely project to work on. Minimalistic, stylish, dark & moody was what Calista Vermaak from Daring Decor & Events had in mind when she coordinated this shoot. Don't be afraid to try dramatic and simplistic colour palettes for your next event. Less can really be more - more dramatic, more memorable & more stylish.

STATIONERY FOR THIS SHOOT

by Blommekind Kuns & Ontwerp

First of all, the Menu, I wanted to design a dark & mystical menu with a touch of colour that would complement the rest of the décor nicely - I landed on a coffin design with shades of purple flowers, gold accents & black background (I also hid a key in there which is a common symbol for 21st birthday's) Secondly, table numbers - I wanted to tie in with the theme of the Netflix series (she goes to a new school) with a hardcover book as the table number. I used mirror gold vinyl for the table wording & I sourced the books from local charity shops. I love how fun & unique this table number idea is. For the thank you gifts I designed a keychain that is laser cut & engraved in clear acrylic with a black faux leather tassel. Keychains are great usable & affordable thank you gifts for any event.

Glass toppers - Of course I had to incorporate "Thing" into the theme as 'he' was a big part of the Wednesday series as well - I designed & laser cut little hand glass toppers out of MDF wood. You can also add a name & use them as name placements should you have allocated seating arrangements at your event. I loved how this "Twenty One" cake topper design cameout - I wanted to keep it on theme with the spiders, webbs & colour palette. I think the cake topper design complemented the beautifull cake made by 'Dirty Peack cake design' beautifully. Last but not least, Welcome sign. I wanted to try something new with the welcome sign of this shoot, by doing a foam board base & adding Gold mirror acrylic cut out on top. I love the 3D affect it gives.
